Important Shipping Update for Our U.S. Customers

To all our valued American customers, we truly appreciate your loyalty and support of our Canadian brand. We want to keep you informed about an important change: we have temporarily suspended shipping to the USA due to recent U.S. customs duty regulations and the removal of the de minimis exemption.

Why We Have Temporarily Suspended Shipping to the USA

Impact of New U.S. Customs Duty Rules

Previously, U.S. customers enjoyed duty-free purchases under the de minimis exemption, which allowed low-value imports (under $800) to enter the United States without additional fees. Unfortunately, this exemption has been removed for certain imports from Canada. As a result, duties now apply to every shipment regardless of order value.

Challenges with Country of Origin for Vintage Products

Many of our vintage jewelry and accessories come from brands like Jones New York, which historically manufactured in the USA but later shifted some production to Asia. Because of these changes over time, we cannot always guarantee the original country of manufacture for each vintage piece.
If U.S. Customs rejects our declaration of origin, they may impose duties of up to 35% of the retail value—a significant additional cost.

Why Our New Canadian-Made Products Are Also Affected

Our new collections are proudly made in Canada, but under current U.S. customs rules, these items automatically bear a 35% duty upon entering the USA, regardless of where we source raw materials.
Passing these costs to our customers would mean adding up to 35% in duties on top of product price, taxes, and shipping—something we know most shoppers would not find reasonable.

What This Means for You as a U.S. Customer

For now, we have decided to pause all U.S. orders instead of charging you these high, unpredictable duties. This ensures that you won’t face unexpected costs at checkout or upon delivery.

Can You Still Purchase Our Products While Visiting Canada?

Yes! If you’re planning a trip to Canada, we can arrange delivery of your purchase to you during your stay without Canadian export duties.
Please note: When you return to the U.S., your purchase may still be subject to U.S. customs duties upon re-entry.

Frequently Asked Questions About U.S. Shipping and Duties

What is the de minimis exemption?

The de minimis exemption is a U.S. Customs rule that previously allowed shipments under a certain value (usually $800) to enter the country duty-free. This exemption no longer applies to many Canadian shipments.

How much are the duties for Canadian products?

Duties can be up to 35% of the retail value of the product, in addition to any applicable taxes and shipping fees.

When will you resume U.S. shipping?

We will resume shipping to the USA as soon as the de minimis exemption is restored or fair duty rules return. Unfortunately, we don’t have a confirmed timeline, but we are monitoring the situation closely.
