Our journey started in 2010 when Susan starting with her mum, Lillian, to revive her mum’s former successful local business from the 1980s and 1990s called Boaz Junction. Lillian, her spouse Reg, and two partners, had started and grown an exclusive knitwear clothing manufacturing enterprise. Susan was an instrumental part of Boaz Junction with hands-on involvement in every aspect of the business from assisting in sourcing and buying raw materials from mills around Ontario, to choosing clothing and accessory designs, to physical construction of the clothing and jewelry, to selling in the shop store. Ill health forced Lillian and Reg to buy out their partners and retire the business in 1993. But, in 2007, Lillian showed a keen interest in pursuing her dream of producing designs of bridal wear and accessories and so, the seeds for Bedgeburry Park’s product lines were sown.
We have set ourselves a mission - to provide you with products that have been exclusively made in Canada, with Canadian workers, and from raw materials, as much as possible, that are also made in Canada. We strive to avoid products that use raw materials that may have been produced with unethical, dangerous, or non-healthy materials and additives.
We're Super Conscious about where our ingredients come from. We always use ethically sourced ingredients, for example we guarantee the components used in producing our products are sourced without the use of child or animal labour. We always ensure our ingredients are sustainably sourced and organic where appropriate.
As brand creators we want our products and our business to inspire every person who buys and uses Bedgeburry Park products. We want to show you that purchasing from a dedicated Canadian-made company is the way forward to guarantee yourself products that last, have lasting value and won’t damage your health!
Our signature look of delicate refinement is designed to enhance the wearer’s natural beauty. All of our fine bridal wear and accessories are beautifully handcrafted by our skilled artisans, right here in Canada, using only the finest materials available, making each piece a treasured heirloom.
We also intend to use Bedgeburry Park as a platform to raise awareness about ethical issues that arise in business such as the relentless use of animal derived ingredients, animal cruelty, plastic micro-beads and the destructive use of Palm Oil. We feel it's our responsibility to have a positive impact on the planet, to care for our environment and for the welfare of animals.
We also use eco-friendly packaging that comes from post-consumer recycled sources. Much of our packaging is 100 percent recyclable. So, please recycle or reuse your empty packaging and do your bit to help the planet!
